Banner Contest

Rules and Registration Form

Theme: A Legacy of Liberty: Celebrating LINCOLN’S Bicentennial

Divisions: Division I (Key West – Big Pine Schools) Division II (Marathon – Key Largo Schools)

Levels: Kindergarten and 1^st Grade Prizes: Pizza Party Gift Certificate (Value $50.00)*

2^nd and 3^rd Grade * Prizes will be given to each level in both divisions

4^th and 5^th Grade

6^th thru 8^th Grade

NOTE: Entries will be judged on creativity, originality and adherence to the theme.

A committee of Lawyers/Court Personnel will judge the banners. The committee will select one winner from each level.

GUIDELINES:

· Only one banner per class allowed.

· Banner may be no larger than 8 feet long and 2 feet wide; banner must be able to hang vertically. The 16^th Judicial Circuit will supply the banner paper.

· Any non-smearable medium is acceptable such as colored pencils, markers, crayons, paints etc.

(NO computer generated banners please)

· Attachments to the banner should be securely fastened and self-supporting. Attachments may not be glass or other breakable items and may not have sharp edges or pins. No loose or hanging materials permitted.

· Each banner must depict the theme.

· The back of the banner shall have the teachers name, school, address, day time phone number and Grade Level (*see form below)

· Entry deadline is April 20, 2009.

· Winners will be announced April 27, 2009.
